When Samsung introduced Galaxy S10 Flagship series of 2019, it was no doubt that a 5G version of a phone will also come and named as a special edition. When S10 Line-up was launched with 2019 Flagship Processor Snapdragon 855 SoC and Exynos 9820 CPU world wide it was no doubt that they will also have a support of 5G with Qualcomm X50 Modem.
Samsung announced three regular phones in S10 Line-up, the Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10, and Galaxy S10+ they have already been released. But theirs is a fourth model too that Samsung wasn’t quite ready to launch alongside the rest of its Galaxy S10 models. It’s called the Galaxy S10 5G Special Edition, and it may be released in the coming weeks.
In Samsung Event in February we actually saw the Galaxy S10 5G. we actually went “hands-off” with the phone, since Samsung wouldn’t let anyone touch it. The Galaxy S10 5G is indeed similar to the Galaxy S10+ that’s already available to purchase from every major carrier and outlets worldwide, but the 5G version has some minor upgrades over S10 Plus variant, it has a larger AMOLED screen, a four-lens camera setup on the back, a larger 4,500 mAh battery, and no microSD slot.
When Samsung announced the Galaxy S10 5G, it said the phone would be released “sometime in Q2.” Like most people, we were expecting a release sometime late in the second quarter once 5G networks are more widely available, but it looks like Samsung fans might not have to wait that long.
The Korea Herald reports that South Korea’s National Radio Research Agency granted approval to the Galaxy S10 5G this past Monday. The agency typically publishes approvals within a few weeks of a smartphone’s release, so it appears as though the Galaxy S10 5G could hit store shelves in South Korea as soon as early April.
Samsung almost always releases new phones in the United States around the same time as in its home country, so there’s a good chance the Galaxy S10 5G will be released in the US early next month as well.
Samsung Galaxy S10 5G was announced in February and would be available in the US initially as a Verizon exclusive. As there is no info when it will be launched worldwide, and it’s pretty much useless unless you do not have 5G support by telecom provider in your country. But we Speculate by the Starting of 2020 5G will replace 4G network as all Telecom companies and Smartphone manufacturer are working aggressively on 5G.
Should you Buy a Samsung Galxy S10 5G?
As, the S10 Plus variant will launch by April and it’s not possible to have a coverage of 5G before 2020 so what is a use of this device? The answer is fairly simple: Most people keep their phones for two, three, even four years, so investing now in a phone that will have access to 5G networks down the road certainly isn’t a terrible idea as they will make their future secure in terms of technology.
But do not Forget as technology upgrading every year, we recommend you upgrade to 5G device when you really need it. As, down the road in a span of 2 years the market will floated with different technology more Powerful CPU and who knows where the Samsung Folding Smartphone and Huawei Mate X take the future, as in a span of past one year the phones from bezel design came to bezel less and punch hole design, and not moving towards folding smartphone, we would like you to make a smart choice.
In 2020, S11 will Launch and with more powerful CPU Snapdragon 865 SoC and an upgrade over S10 and it will also come with 5G support out of the box, because by that time 5G networks will almost spread in major countries.
